Homework 50 Points
  1. Distribution of 300 points among three exmas, may not be equal.
  2. Feeling comfortable with homework is the key.
3 Takehome Tests 300 Points
Total 350 Points

Grades will be calculated in two ways :
  1. Based on 3 exams, totaling 300 points
  2. Based on 3 exams and the HW , totaling 350 points
  3. You will be given the lower grade.
    In particular, to obtain a claen A, you have to get 95 percent, in bth ways.

General Organization:

  1. Text: We follow my lecture notes.
    ( Other sections would be using a textbook, which you may refer to.)
  2. Materials to be covered: All the Chapters given.
  3. Software and Calculators: A TI-84 (Silver Edition) will be helpful.
    We also encourage you to use Matlab and MS Excel.
